How is your soul?
The Bible teaches that every human soul was created by God, to reflect the character of God. We are formed in God’s image. Each and every person has great dignity, great worth, and great potential to reflect that divine goodness and power and beauty.
But the soul-level disappointments, injuries, and errors along life’s journey can leave our souls greatly fatigued, fractured, and defeated. The lack of soul-level health can erode confidence, increase anxiety, and unravel our lives from the inside out.
Maybe that’s you today. Or maybe that’s the condition of those you serve… or both.
Either way, there is great hope for all of us. Not tinny promises, not “everything is up and to the right”, not three easy steps to a better life (🙄), but actual, grounded, hope for a recovery of your actual life.
What is the basis for this hope? It is the always, everywhere reality of the presence of God. The nearness of God. The love of God. The compassion of God. The forgiveness of God. The power of God… to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. The GRACE of God.
Take some time today to check in with yourself, with your soul…. How are you, really?
We've created a free resource that has been used by thousands of people across the world to help them consider the current state of their souls and begin talking directly with God about how they are doing.
This quick self-assessment of primary symptoms of soul heath and soul neglect can be found here, and once completed it will lead you to the reflection guide.
The most important thing is for you and those you serve to have honest conversations about the wellbeing of the soul… conversations full of grace and truth.
As we get honest with ourselves and God, the healing journey moves forward.
Godspeed,
Team Soul Care
